Kamala Harris' Speech Falls Flat: Where’s the Accountability After 3.5 Years in Office?

Last night, Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a speech that was meant to inspire confidence and rally support. Instead, it left many people scratching their heads, wondering why the very issues she passionately spoke about remain unresolved after nearly four years in office. As she listed the challenges facing America, one glaring question hung in the air: What has Kamala Harris been doing about these problems since taking office?

The Unmet Promises

From the outset of her tenure as Vice President, Kamala Harris has positioned herself as a champion of various causes: criminal justice reform, voting rights, immigration, and economic inequality. These are all critical issues that resonate deeply with the American public. However, her speech last night seemed like a rehash of campaign promises from 2020, rather than a reflection on the progress made—or lack thereof—since then.  And it feels to most Americans to be just another one of Harris' "F-You" and an insult to our intelligence.

For example, Harris spoke at length about the need for comprehensive criminal justice reform. But where are the results? Why are we still seeing the same systemic issues that were prevalent years ago? Despite having a seat at the highest table in the land, Harris has failed to push through significant reforms in this area. If this issue is so important to her, why hasn’t she used her influence and power to make more substantial changes?  What we do know is that Biden/Harris have weaponized our justice system and allowed crazed lunatics to terrorize American citizens with little fear of being held accountable.

A Lack of Action on Voting Rights

Another focal point of her speech was the importance of protecting voting rights, a critical issue indeed. Yet, despite being tasked with this responsibility early in her vice presidency, Harris has been unable to make meaningful strides in this area. The voting rights legislation she has championed remains stalled, and voter suppression continues to be a pressing concern in many states.

Given her rhetoric, it’s fair to ask: Why hasn’t Kamala Harris been more effective in addressing voting rights during her time in office? What obstacles have prevented her from fulfilling her promises, and why weren’t those obstacles addressed in her speech?

Immigration: Still an Unsolved Crisis

Harris also touched on the ongoing immigration crisis, another issue she was specifically tasked with addressing. But the situation at the southern border has remained chaotic, with record numbers of crossings and a lack of clear policy direction. The administration’s efforts have been criticized from all sides, and Harris has been notably absent from the forefront of this crisis.

So, the question remains: Why has the immigration situation not improved under Harris’ watch? If anything, the situation has deteriorated, raising serious doubts about her effectiveness as a leader on this issue.  It is impossible to hide the fact that Harris has been derelict in her duties as "Border Czar" and complicit in an enemy invasion of our battered nation.

Economic Inequality: More Talk, Little Progress

In her speech, Harris decried the widening economic inequality in the country. Yet, under her and President Biden’s administration, the gap between the rich and the poor has only grown wider. While the economy has rebounded in some areas, inflation continues to squeeze working-class families, and the promised economic relief has not materialized at all.

Why hasn’t Harris been able to deliver on the economic promises made during the 2020 campaign? How does she plan to address these issues going forward, given the lack of progress thus far?

Where’s the Accountability?

Kamala Harris’ speech may have been filled with strong rhetoric and calls to action, but it also highlighted a critical issue: a lack of accountability. It’s one thing to speak passionately about the problems facing the nation, but it’s another to have had the power to address them for 3.5 years and yet show little to no progress.

Americans deserve answers. Why hasn’t Harris been able to make headway on these pressing issues? What has she been doing with the time and influence she’s had? If she can’t deliver results now, why should voters believe she can do so in the future?

Conclusion: A Speech That Raises More Questions Than Answers

Kamala Harris had an opportunity last night to demonstrate her leadership and show the American people that she’s making real progress on the issues she claims to care about. Instead, she offered more of the same talking points, without addressing why so little has been accomplished during her time in office. Her speech left many wondering: Where’s the accountability, and why hasn’t Kamala Harris been able to highlight even a single accomplishment over the past 3.5 years that has benefitted hard working American taxpayers.

If Harris wants to regain the trust of the American people, she needs to move beyond rhetoric and start delivering results. Until then, speeches like the one last night will only serve to highlight her shortcomings as Vice President.  The only way this empty suit can win the election on November 5th is to cheat - and that's the real challenge ahead of us.
